We’re having such an odd winter here in Basalt. On my way to work this morning, I heard that it had snowed 9″ in Aspen in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, there’s almost no snow left on my lawn. I prefer loads of snow for sledding and snow-man making, despite all of the shoveling it requires. As far as I’m concerned, snow gives winter a reason to exist and gets us outside despite the cold. At least there’s snow up where the skiing happens!
With that said, this month’s calendar page was inspired by a nighttime walk a while back when I lived in Alta (where there was loads of snow).
The ideas, images and ink for the month are:
ideas walking across the flats under the dark night sky
images snowy side streets that don’t melt between storms
ink inky blue horizon
